At the age of 30, Marthinus Barnard, excelled in the world of Make up and Hair artistry for an astonishing 8 years. His journey started in South Africa managing a Cosmetic Boutique, Hero Extravagance where he worked alongside Luxury Cosmetic Houses for 3 consecutive years during which he not only organized and coordinated events within the fashion industry, but assisted with the Hair and Make up for these prestigious events. Delving into the fast paced fashion and media world he came to the realization that this is where his passion lies and went on to study Fashion and Photographic Hair & Make up; graduating at the top of his class. Being a sought after addition to any team, Marthinus Barnard joined the The Prestige Cosmetic Group working as the National Make Up Artist for Christian Dior. Excelling within his field he soon added “training” to his list of expertise by training the Christian Dior Beauty Advisors and on-counter Make up Artists. Acknowledging his potential the Christian Dior team furthered Marthinus Barnard’s knowledge by sending him to Paris for basic-, advanced-, and Dior Backstage Make Up application training after which he had endless opportunities to do editorials for national magazines.

In 2007 Marthinus Barnard was invited to do the Make Up for a Dior Fashion Show in Dubai and shortly after he was offered an International Make Up position within the Brand. In September 2007 he relocated and became the team leader of seven Artists traveling the Middle East. Adding to his responsibilities, Marthinus Barnard was the sole exclusive Make Up Artist for Dior Fashion and Fine Jewelery & Beauty for all editorials and Magazines.
